Please, take notice that public policy issues in the field of preschool education, general education, secondary vocational education and additional vocational education, and professional training, supplementary education for children and adults, upbringing, custody and guardianship of juvenile citizens fall under authority of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

Municipal preschool educational organisations and general education institutions fall under the competence of the State authorities in constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Regulatory role in the sphere of State adjustments of educational activities, control and oversight in the educational and scientific spheres, in recognizing foreign educational and professional qualifications, fall under the authority of the Federal Service of Supervision in the Sphere of Education and Science.
